Will the 3D configurator slow down my Wix site?
No. Zolak loads asynchronously via CDN with optimized 3D assets. Your main content loads first, keeping Core Web Vitals and SEO intact.
Do I need to be a developer to integrate Zolak Configurator with Wix?
No. Our team handles the setup on your Wix site, from adding the 3D view to connecting it with your product options and cart. After launch, you add new products yourself: upload the model to Zolak, create the matching product in Wix, and add it to the page.
Can I use Zolak on the free Wix plan?
To sell, you need a paid Wix plan that accepts online payments - the same plan any Wix store needs. Zolak doesn't add plan requirements of its own: it's added with Wix's standard embed element.
What if I don’t have 3D models yet?
We provide professional 3D modeling and texturing services. Our team creates accurate digital twins based on your real products.
Typically, this requires:
  • Product photos from multiple angles
  • Exact dimensions (height, width, depth)
  • Material or finish references
Is Zolak compatible with Wix Studio and dynamic pages?
Yes. Zolak works on Wix Editor and Wix Studio sites, including dynamic product pages, where each page passes its product SKU to the configurator.
How long does setup take?
Setup has two stages: preparing your 3D catalog and adding the configurator to your Wix store.
If you already have 3D models, we'll review them and upload them to your Zolak CMS account. If not, our team creates them with true-to-life materials that match your real finishes. Modeling time depends on product complexity:
  • Simple model: ~30 minutes
  • Medium complexity: ~1.5 hours
  • Complex: ~4 hours
  • Ultra-complex: ~6+ hours
Once models are ready, adding the configurator to a Wix page takes minutes. Connecting it to your product options and cart is a one-time setup - we'll give you a timeline after reviewing your store.
Is this a Wix app?
No. Zolak isn't in the Wix App Market. It connects to your Wix site with a script, the same way you'd add a booking widget or live chat. Once set up, it works like any other element on your product page.
What's the difference between a Wix product customizer and a 3D configurator?
Many Wix customizer apps let shoppers add text or upload an image onto a flat product picture - a good fit for print and merch. A 3D configurator renders the product itself: shoppers change materials and finishes, rotate it, zoom into details and see it in their room with AR. Zolak is built for the second case - furniture, home goods and made-to-order products, where the material is what people are deciding on.
